The StayCheck web application (staycheck.me) and the StayCheck Android and iOS apps are operated by Upkeeper Technology Solutions Private Limited (“SpotWorks”, “StayCheck”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Bengaluru, India. This policy explains what we collect in StayCheck and how it is used.
Information we collect in StayCheck
StayCheck is a workplace tool. Your account is created by your property owner or manager, and the data below is collected on their behalf to run hotel and stay operations:
- Account information — your name, phone number, email address, role, and the properties you are assigned to. When you sign in with a one-time password we send that code to your phone number or email address.
- Photos — photos you take or upload as evidence in room, asset and compliance checklists or tasks.
- Work records — checklist submissions, task updates, compliance results and similar operational entries you create, together with the time you created them.
- Device data — a push notification token if you enable notifications, and standard server logs (IP address, user agent) kept for security and troubleshooting.
StayCheck does not collect your location and does not track you across other apps or websites.
App permissions
The app asks for Camera / Photos access (to attach evidence photos) and optional Notifications (task assignments, overdue items and alerts). Each permission is requested only when the related feature is used, and the app remains usable for other features if a permission is declined.
How we use and share this information
Data is used to operate StayCheck for your property: recording checklist and task completion, tracking compliance, and generating reports and alerts for authorised managers of your property. Data is visible only within your own property’s account. We share data with the service providers that host and run the platform — cloud hosting and file storage on Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India region), and email/SMS delivery providers used to send one-time passwords and alerts — and otherwise only when required by law. We do not sell your personal information and the app shows no advertising.
Security and retention
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), credentials are stored hashed, and access is restricted by role and property. Operational records are retained for as long as your property’s account requires them for compliance and reporting.
Your rights and account deletion
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time by writing to hello@spotworks.in. Because StayCheck accounts are managed by your employer, deletion requests for staff accounts are completed together with your property administrator; we respond to all requests within 30 days. StayCheck is a workplace tool intended for use by adults and is not directed at children.
